Julia Nell Taylor Ward

     Mrs. Julia Nell Taylor Ward, 85, died Monday, December 26, 2011, in the Tidelands Community Hospice House after an illness.     Born June 19, 1926, in Lake City, she was the last of six children surviving of the late Claude Taylor and Marguerite Winston Taylor Flagler. Mrs. Ward was a member of Central Presbyterian Church, and had worked at Jerry’s Big Dollar and Preacher’s Drug Store for a number of years. Preceding her in death were her husbands, Raymond Otis Ward, Sr. and Enon David “Ed” Ward, her brothers, Bob, Harry, Charles and Ernest Taylor, and one sister Kitty Mae Owens.     Surviving are her children, Raymond Otis (Nell) Ward, Faye Ward Brockington, and Wayne (Cindy) Ward, all of Kingstree and Lynn Ward (Carl) Brown, of Florence; 7 grandchildren, Ryan Ward, Herbie Brockington, Greg (Layna) Ward, Christopher Ward, Whitley Ward, MiKayla Brown and Eric Brown.     Graveside funeral services will be 11 A.M. Wednesday in Kingstree Memorial Gardens, directed by Williamsburg Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Central Presbyterian Church, 5001 Thurgood Marshal Highway, Kingstree, SC 29556 or Tidelands Community Hospice, 2591 N. Fraser St., Georgetown, SC 29440.

So sorry to hear of your family's loss. Mrs. Ward did a wonderful job for Daddy for years, and really felt like a part of our family. I'm still using one of her beautiful afghans that she gave us at our wedding--will keep you all in our thoughts and prayers.
