Clifford Lee Small

Clifford Lee Small, 89, died Sunday, December 25, 2011, in a Charleston hospital after an illness.Mr. Small was born in the Suttons Community of Williamsburg County, a son of the late Robert Albert and Olive Altman Small. He attended Williamsburg County schools and was a farmer. Mr. Small was a lifetime member of Suttons United Methodist Church and was the last surviving member of the church building committee.Surviving are: his wife, Mrs. Belle Avant Small, of Andrews; 2 sons, Clifford Brice (Dora) Small, of Kingstree, and Robert (Joyce) Small, of Lexington; and 2 grandsons, Clayton Brice Small and Clifford Brice Small, II, both of Kingstree. Funeral services will be 11 A.M. Tuesday, December 27, 2011, in Suttons United Methodist Church, with burial in the Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 P.M. Monday at Williamsburg Funeral Home in Kingstree. Memorials may be made to Suttons United Methodist Church, 2236 Santee Road, Andrews, SC 29510.

I had the greatest pleasure of meeting Mr. Small, Mrs. Belle and Brice at Saint Francis when he was admitted there with Dr. Smith. We were so sorry to hear about Mr. Clifford. I'm sorry we weren't able to attend the funeral. My nephew died and was buried in Waycross, GA on the same day. Our hearts go out to you in this time of sorrow. Please let us know if there's anything we can do.
