 Mr. Harry Junius Osborne, Sr., 78, husband of Doris Coker Osborne, died Saturday, December 17, 2011, at his residence after an illness. Mr. Osborne was born August 25, 1933, in Greeleyville, SC, a son of the late Junius and Ella Wise Osborne. He was a graduate of Greeleyville High School and was retired from the US Postal Service. Mr. Osborne was a member of Greeleyville United Methodist Church, an Omar Shriner, and a member of Inglesby Masonic Lodge, where he was a Past Master. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife Barbara Timmons Osborne, a brother, Weldon Osborne, a sister, Mae Osborne, and a daughter-in-law Rebecca Dean Osborne. Mr. Osborne’s family would like to thank the staff at Ahava Hospice for their care. Surviving, in addition to his wife Doris, are: sons, Chris (Rosie) Osborne, of Salters and Harry J. “Chuck” Osborne, Jr., of Orange Park, FL; step daughters, Melissa Gettys, of Kingstree and Tanya (Scottie) Scott, of Salters; a sister, Margaret Matthews, of Charleston, SC; grandchildren, Brandie (Nick) Hayes, of Florence, Kristen Caulder, of Kingstree, and Barbara Osborne, of Jacksonville, FL, Leslie (Gus) Alderman, of Mandarin, FL, Chris (Ashley) Albrektson, of Middleburg, FL, Samantha (Scott) Lee, Josh Powell, Jeffrey Haigler, Jr., and Glen Haigler, all of Kingstree; and 19 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be 3 PM Tuesday, December 20, 2011, in the chapel of Williamsburg Funeral Home in Kingstree. Burial will follow in Kingstree Memorial Gardens.
