 Mr. John Edward Beasley Driggers, 76, husband of Novolene Knox Driggers, died Thursday, August 4, 2011, at the home of his daughter. Mr. Driggers was born December 18, 1934, in Williamsburg County, a son of the late Joseph K. “Pete” and Sabrey Parrott Driggers. He graduated from Williamsburg County Schools, was a veteran of the US Air Force, and was a retired farm equipment mechanic. He enjoyed yard work and restoring antique cars. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Lucille Floyd, Alice Hanniford, Mildred Thomas, Kirk Caulder, Sara Jane Prosser, and a brother Dexter Driggers. In addition to his wife Novolene Driggers, surviving are: his daughter Sherry (Rusty) Owens, of Cades; 2 grandsons, James Russell Kye Owens, of Darlington and John Edward Trey Owens, of Myrtle Beach; a granddaughter Erin Ashley Elizabeth Owens, of Cades; and a sister Lillie Morris, of Kingstree. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Sunday, August 7, 2011, in the chapel at Williamsburg Funeral Home, with burial in Kingstree Memorial Gardens.
